The seventh day of our cruise to the Norwegian Fjords aboard the Cunard cruise liner MS "Queen Victoria" from Friday 13th to Saturday 21st July 2012. Thursday 19th July saw us visit our final Port of Call before we returned to Southampton: Bergen. Bergen is probably the busiest port in Norway seeing several Cruise Ships every year. It can also accomodate a large number of ships in one go. On the day of our visit, "Queen Victoria" was one of six Cruise Ships in the port. Docked directly in front on the double-sided pier were the 'Hapag-Lloyd's "Columbus 2" and 'Thomson Cruises's "Thomson Spirt" whilst 'Azamara Cruises's "Azamara Journey" was just around the corner in the main harbour itself. Two more ships - 'Celebrity Cruises's "Celebrity Eclipse" and 'Princess Cruises's "Ocean Princes" (formally "Tahitan Princess") - were docked on the other side of the city. During our walk around the city, we see the Rosenkrantz Tower, the Harbour & Fish Market, the New Church and St. John's Church as well as the former vintage coaster "Atloy". "Celebrity Eclipse" left Bergen around 14:00 hours and we departed around 3:30, both heading for Southampton passing underneath the Atloy Bridge on the way out.
