While cruising out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, I found an awesome pre-cruise hotel, AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale, which is solo traveler friendly, walking distance to restaurants and shopping and has BEACH ACCESS directly across the street. Booking the hotel has an additional $25 amenity fee which can be used to purchase drinks at the bar or the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was only $19 and was WELL WORTH the expense.
