Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas Snorkeling Excursion in Sitka, Alaska Cruise

Join us on our cruise to Alaska! Our first stop was in Sitka, AK on 03Jul2022. Ignore the timestamp, our camera wasn't up to date! We booked a snorkel excursion through Viator with Selkie Snorkels (website link below). Our tour guides Ellie & Derek were awesome! Ellie & Derek picked us up from the cruise ship terminal in their purple van and took us to their shop downtown where they set us up with snorkel equipment. They provided 7 mm wet suits, snorkel masks, fins, dry towels, and even hot chocolate at the end! You may be thinking, "Isn't it too cold to snorkel in Alaska?! You must be crazy!" Had Selkie Snorkels not provided us with the proper gear, you would be right! But we were warm the entire trip Once set up with the proper equipment, we loaded up the van and headed to Magic Island to snorkel. As you can see from the video, we got to see all kinds of sea creatures. Starfish, various types of crabs, jelly fish, sea cucumbers, and all sorts of other wildlife. If you're a fan of the game Animal Crossing, you see many of the same creatures that you can catch in the game! We had an awesome time. We'd highly recommend trying it at least once!
