Scarlet Lady: Miami, Florida Arrival & Departure on October 15th, 2021

On October 10th Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady set sail on a 5 night Mayan Sol Voyage from Miami Florida. Sailing round trip from Miami she made stops in Costa Maya and Bimini in the Bahamas before returning home on the morning of the 15th. This was her second voyage outside the US and her first to Mexico. Scheduled to return home for 6:00 AM she arrived early docking by 4:30 AM. Along with her the Freedom of the Seas arrived shortly after her to turn around and dock at Terminal A. On this turn around day Scarlet Lady was to be preparing for her maiden 5 Night Dominican Daze sailing but the itinerary was altered a month prior to sailing when the pier required for docking in the Dominican Republic was no longer available due to unrest in the area. Instead it became a second Mayan Sol sailing with an identical 5 night voyage to Costa Maya and Bimini in the Bahamas. The Freedom of the Seas was to depart at 6:00 PM, but the arrival of a large cargo ship delayed her departure until 6:52 PM. Shortly after her Scarlet Lady set sail just past 7:00 PM. Unlike the previous sailing the weather stayed clear giving a beautiful channel passage past NCL's Terminal B and Royal Caribbean's Terminal A before reaching Fisher Island where the captain once again laid on the horn. Unlike the previous sailing, despite the improved weather conditions the beach was not filled with people waiting to watch her departure. It may have been for the best though as unlike the previous sailing, Virgin Voyages also failed to turn the lights on or display any messages on Scarlet Lady as she sailed.
