Shipyard Tour: Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas Gets Its Finishing Touches – Video

When Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas launches in late March 2018, it will become the biggest cruise ship in the world. Cruise Critic paid the ship a visit at the STX Europe shipyard in St. Nazaire, France, where it is receiving its finishing touches. While it shares many similarities with its sister, Harmony of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas will offer a handful of its own unique touches. Among them are a reimagined Boardwalk with a new candy shop and sports bar/arcade that span nearly the entire length of the Boardwalk, new restaurants, a production of Broadway’s “Hairspray,” new shows at the AquaTheater and Studio B (ice-skating entertainment venue), a laser tag arena and the Ultimate Family Suite – complete with a slide for kids to get from their second-floor bedroom to the ground floor, a floor-to-ceiling LEGO wall, a wall-sized LED TV screen for movie nights, an air hockey table and 212-square-foot balcony with its own mini Luckey climber (whimsical climbing structure) and whirlpool.
