Edit: Star is the third Grand Class ship, not the second as I mentioned in the video. The Star Princess debuted for Princess Cruises in 2002, and has been a staple favourite of the fleet ever since. In 2018, it was announced that Star was going to be transferred to P&O Australia, to join their fleet as the Pacific Encounter at the end of 2021. In what has been a rollercoaster of a year for the industry, we have just learned via confirmation from P&O Australia President, Sture Myrmell, that Pacific Encounter will be joining the P&O fleet ahead of time, on May 7 2021. A little further digging has uncovered that there are no more departures for sale onboard Star Princess. Additionally, Golden Princess has had her transformation into the Pacific Adventure delayed. She will not be joining the P&O Australia fleet until April 30, 2021. Did you ever sail on Star Princess? Let me know in the comments below and share your memories!
