It's the end of county fair season and we're going out with a bang! The Steele County Free Fair in Owatonna is Minnesota's largest county fair and it's the perfect training to get ready for the MN state fair. We entered the fair at the midway and enjoyed watching all the different rides before exploring the rest of the fairgrounds. We toured the competition buildings, the animal barns, and of course the food options. There were plenty of free shows to sit and watch. Since we were trying to explore buildings on this visit, we only watched a small portion of one of the comedians, but he was very entertaining. We then walked through the Steele County Historical Society; this old village is always a fun walk through time. We ended our day touring the animal barns and other competition buildings before we headed home.
