On a recent trip to Stockholm, I had one day to explore the city. Stockholm is chock full of gorgeous historic architecture, lining cobblestone streets, and surrounded by waterways. It is a beautiful city with much to see and do. In my 24 hrs exploring, part of it was consumed by pouring rain. However, I managed to see many sites in the morning and afternoon, including Gamla Stan, the Gustaf Vasa Church, Riddarholmen Church, the Parliament House, the Opera House, Kungstradgarden, the Royal Palace, St George & the Dragon Sculpture, Järnpojke, and the Storkyrkran. I also joined a walking tour that was focused on the Vikings. There is a rich history in this city.
