Surfing The FlowRider At Margaritaville On GrandTurk Island

We took a Carnival cruise which visited Grand Turk, and I had so much fun watching the kids on the FlowRider at Margaritaville! I had my Canon Digital Rebel T2i with me and shot some HD video of the action on the FlowRider. Looks like fun! At the beginning of this video they are lying down on boogie boards, and after a while they graduate to standing up on surf boards. The wipe outs are, of course, the best part. Unfortunately, I did NOT have my camera recording when the most dramatic event happened... after a wipe out, one of the kids somehow got his arm stuck down inside a portion of the FlowRider where the moving rubber mat folds under. With his arm stuck, he could not move... and the water was hitting him right in the face, making it difficult to breathe. He could have easily drowned. However, the employees were totally on top of it and immediately hit the emergency stop button. It was amazing how quickly that entire thing can shut down! They pulled the kids arm out, and he was fine. It was so unlucky that I was not recording it at the time!
