Mount Dora is only a 45 minute drive from The Villages. It is a town steep in history to include the Lakeside Inn which is the longest continuously operated hotel in the state of Florida. Lake Dora is picturesque with beautiful waterfront homes and lots of bird life. We took a 2 hour cruise on Lake Dora with the Rusty Anchor Company. The highlight of the tour was traversing the natural canal between Lake Dora and Lake Eustis. Charlie and Jennifer Pryde have lived in The Villages for one year and in Central Florida for fifteen years. Our main activities in The Villages are biking, fitness parks, pickle ball, platform tennis, golf and swimming. We love to travel throughout Florida, the United States and internationally. Our Youtube channel’s focus is on promoting a physically active lifestyle for mature adults, but we will also indulge ourselves in a good restaurant, bakery or watering hole that we find during our travels.
