Timelapse: Sailaway From The Port Of Miami

Here's a look at the beautiful view from the balcony of a cruise ship as you sail out of the port of Miami, Florida. It's one of the greatest cruise ship ports in the world, where you'll find the best cruise ships in the world. I shot this from the balcony of our mini-suite on the Norwegian Bliss as she began a 15-day cruise to Los Angeles, through the Panama Canal. The ship was brand new and just a couple of weeks earlier had still been in the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. In real time, the sailaway takes much longer than this, but in this timelapse video you experience it in less than a minute. You can see Palm island, Star Island, the MacArthur causeway, and the high-rise condominiums of South Beach as the ship heads out of the port of Miami and in to the Atlantic ocean towards the Caribbean.
