V&A Waterfront Cape Town, South Africa - Is Safe and Is Walking Distance To Cruise Port
YouTube Video Description↓
The V&A Waterfront stands for Victoria & Alfred. It's a mixed-use destination for tourists and locals alike, located in the oldest working harbor in the Southern Hemisphere. It's a safe area, within walking distance to the cruise port with stunning views of Table Mountain in the backdrop no matter where you look. We purchased a hop on hop off bus, 2 day ticket. The bus picked us up from the cruise port and brought us to Table Mountain and most of the neighborhoods in Cape Town. When returning to the cruise port we got off at the Aquarium stop and walked the V&A waterfront back to the cruise ship, to board the Cunard Queen Mary 2. It's about an 8-12 minute walk. Please consider watching our entire Cunard Playlist to see more of this magnificient oceanliner as well as some of the adventures we had at each of the ports of call. This journey started in NY in January 2024 when we boarded the Queen Mary 2 and sailed to Southampton, England - Tenerife, Spain - Walvis Bay, Namibia - Port Elizabeth, Capetown & Durban, South Africa - Reunion Island - Mauritius Island and then finally Perth, Australia. We stayed in an inside cabin (check out our cabin tour & review video) for 45 days that included a Transatlantic Crosssing and 2 Segments of her World Cruise. With many interesting changes in weather, sickness, safety protocols, breaking-news LIVE updates, as well as amazing ports of call with two overnight stops we hope you find our videos both informative and fun to watch. And as always... Thanks for coming along on our journey!
