"Ventura", "Oceana", "MSC Opera", "Silver Whisper" & Container Ships in Southampton - 13/05/2012

The afternoon of Sunday 13th May 2012 was a busy one for Southampton Docks seeing a number of movements including three Container Ships and four Cruise Ships. The four cruise ships were as follows: "Oceana" (P&O Cruises) in Berth 106/The 'Mayflower' Cruise Terminal; "MSC Opera" (MSC) in Berth 101/The 'City' Terminal; "Ventura" (P&O Cruises) in Berth 46/The 'Ocean' Terminal and "Silver Whisper" (Silversea Cruises) in Berth 38/The 'QEII' Terminal. "Ventura" was the first to set sail followed by "Oceana", "MSC Opera" and finally "Silver Whisper". Prior to the cruise ships' departures, two large container ships passed through the docks. The first was the "OOCL America" departing from the container terminal followed a bit later by the arrival of "CMA CGM Puccini". A smaller container ship "Jessica B." followed "Oceana" down the River Test.
