Join us as we venture onboard Viva One - A Viva Cruises river cruise ship for a journey on the River Rhine. In this weeks vlog, we start the day in Amsterdam docking fairy central next to the main train station. We arrived into Amsterdam at 9am, and went for a bit of breakfast before heading out on our excursion to Floriade, a presentation on horticulture and sustainability, with local inspiration from countries all over the world. CHECK OUT: https://www.georgeanddan.com/vivaone Back on board we explored the wellness centre, taking a look at the gym, sauna, steam room, wet room, and the massage area. We left Amsterdam at 6am the following morning, and arrived into Hoorn at 9am. We enjoyed an immersive walking tour of Hoorn, exploring the marina, the narrow and quaint streets of the city, and soaking in the atmosphere. Once back on board, we relaxed and enjoyed the heat of the day. For dinner, we ate at the Bistro, a more private dining experience at the aft of Viva One, which in included in the price of your cruise. We were still eating as we began to depart Hoorn at 7pm. We enjoyed a beautiful meal and some drinks with the rest of the group, and then headed to the Bridge to talk to the captain. He gave us a brief tour of the Bridge and explained some of the features, such as the raising and lowering of the equipment (and the bridge itself) for when we need to pass under low hanging bridges etc. The following morning we woke up in the city of Rotterdam, we had another walking tour planned, and went out to explore the city by foot. Once again the walking tours provided were immersive and taught us so much about the places we were visiting, including the cube houses, and Mark Hall.
