#shorts While the Voyager of the Seas was docked in Akureyri, Iceland, in September 2022, we went on a shore excursion to check out the sulfur cauldrons. It was a fascinating experience to see the bubbling and steaming cauldrons up close. The sulfur smell was quite strong, but it was worth it to witness the natural wonder of Iceland. We also had a knowledgeable guide who provided us with interesting facts about the geothermal activity in the area.
