Creator's Key Takeaways

we were repositioning a ship to Alaska but we left from San Diego so we went all the way up the West Coast this was the neatest Cruise because we stepped foot in four different states

I thought it was really unique and a lot of fun and ports that you don't typically think of all the time as Cruise ports

it was fabulous we left from San Diego we got to spend some time in San Diego we did fly in um we didn't have a little bit of a hiccup getting there but once we got there San Diego is fabulous

we saw whales everywhere there was this huge pot of orcas that just came up on us we killed the engine we just sat there and watched them

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Most cruisers take closed loop cruises. This means that you leave from one home port and return to the same port. These are the most common types of cruises and are fantastic! But what if you would like to try something different? Maybe an itinerary that you cannot find sailing from and returning to the same port? There are several different types of repositioning cruises: 1. Repositioning for the season - many cruise lines move ships to Alaska or Europe in spring for the summer season and back to warmer waters in the fall. 2. Transatlantic or Transpacific cruises 3. Panama Canal cruises - moving from one coast to the other 4. One-time change of home port - cruise ships will get moved to different permanent home ports and there are unique one-time sailings for these Variety is the spice of life, and these types of cruises can give you these different or even unique experiences. We recently sailed on Norwegian Jewel for a repositioning from Mexican Riviera itineraries to Alaskan itineraries. So our sailing went up the west coast and we were able to stop in ports that are not traditional cruise ports like Santa Barabara, CA and Astoria, OR. We also had port days in Seattle, WA and Ketchikan, AK. It was a fabulous itinerary!
