Which is better a vaccinated or unvaccinated cruise? Sometimes you don't have a choice but we got to try both this summer. In today's Cruise News we are going to tell you which one we thought was better and what to expect on your upcoming cruise. For this cruise news video, we broke it down into 6 categories; dining, entertainment, capacity, ports and excursions, testing and safety. You will have a different experience depending on your cruise vaccine requirements. In terms of dining on both cruises the buffet was open. Each cruise line does it fairly differently. Everything is served for you so there is no sharing of serving utensils and because the cruise ships are at a reduced capacity we had no problem getting seating. It is big Royal Caribbean Cruise news because their buffet had reduced hours and was not open for dinner. There are other places, like the Cafe Promenade, you can get food later in the evening. On the vaccinated cruise with Celebrity, on the Celebrity Edge, the dining rooms were at a reduced capacity but we were seated weirdly close to others. It is important that we mention in todays cruise vaccine news my least favourite part, the testing. It is annoying but depending on where you are sailing from and who you are sailing with, it is part of the requirements right now. Celebrity as a fully vaccinated cruise did not require tests. In August Royal Caribbean brought back testing for all passengers vaccinated or not. There is also no testing at the port, this can become a bit of a logistical nightmare and expensive. Regardless of if we were on the vaccinated cruise or an unvaccinated cruise the entertainment was amazing. On the fully vaccinated cruise we were able to participate in games and activities which allowed us to be closer, for example we had a volleyball tournament that was a lot of fun and ended with the winning team playing the officers. On the mixed cruise there were free throw and penalty shot competitions but the activities crew could not organize a full event like a basketball game. We hope that you liked our cruise news video. What do you think of the vaccinated cruises and rules for unvaccinated cruise passengers? Would you take a vaccinated cruise? Are there any cruise ship news stories you would like us to cover?
