A remarkable day unfolded as guests aboard Seabourn Pursuit set out by Zodiacs to traditional bagans, floating fishing platforms where local fishermen share the sea with whale sharks. Drawn by fish caught in deep nets, these gentle giants form a rare, symbiotic connection with the people who live here. As guests slipped into the water, the thrill was immediate. Emerging from the shadows, a massive, spotted whale shark glided past with effortless grace. Then came another, and another. Some fed just beneath the surface, while others drifted silently in the depths, their sheer size and calm presence both humbling and awe-inspiring. More than a marine encounter, it was a powerful glimpse into the harmony between community, wildlife, and the environment.
