About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

What is spreading across the ship? Forcing passengers to stay in their cabins. Is it the norovirus? It is spreading pretty rapidly! However, controls have been put in place by the medical staff, captain and crew. We have been on the Queen Mary 2 since January 3, 2024, about 31 days with little to no evidence of any Norovirus until Cape Town, South Africa. Sources have said about 1200 passengers disembarked and 900+ embarked on the Queen Mary 2 in Cape Town. This is when we started to see evidence of Norovirus. Very Important to wash your hands with warm water & soap. Alcohol based hand sanitizers are not as effective as washing. If we learned anything from Covid, WASH OUR HANDS! Here is the United States Center Of Disease Control (CDC) website on Norovirus https://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/index.html Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea. Anyone can get infected and sick with norovirus. Norovirus is sometimes called the “stomach flu” or “stomach bug”. However, norovirus illness is not related to the flu, which is caused by influenza virus. Discover norovirus symptoms, how the virus spreads, and how to prevent norovirus. https://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/index.html Please consider watching our entire Cunard Playlist to see more of this magnificient oceanliner as well as some of the adventures we had at each of the ports of call. This journey started in NY in January 2024 when we boarded the Queen Mary 2 and sailed to Southampton, England - Tenerife, Spain - Walvis Bay, Namibia - Port Elizabeth, Capetown & Durban, South Africa - Reunion Island - Mauritius Island and then finally Perth, Australia. We stayed in an inside cabin (check out our cabin tour & review video) for 45 days that included a Transatlantic Crosssing and 2 Segments of her World Cruise. With many interesting changes in weather, sickness, safety protocols, breaking-news LIVE updates, as well as amazing ports of call with two overnight stops we hope you find our videos both informative and fun to watch. And as always... Thanks for coming along on our journey!
