Welcome back to Yank My Woo in the South! Today we're covering Day 1 of Willy and Dawn's New Orleans Mardi Gras trip. Remember Willy's Facebook post about being "deeply involved in planning"? Well, here's what that research looks like. Quick note: Willy deleted this video 8 minutes after uploading it the first time. What kind of mistake did he care enough to take it down and edit out? Let's hope we find some more he missed. They're staying at a La Quinta in downtown New Orleans - living that celebrity lifestyle. Willy has completely stripped Dawn of her Vanna White room tours, which is complete BS in our opinion. Now she contributes absolutely nothing to the videos. Is Willy a total control freak who needs room tours done exactly to his specifications, or does Dawn just not give good tours? You decide. THE MOMENT: Dawn sees the historic Creole Queen paddle boat and calls it the "Crayola Queen" - like the crayons. Educational television at its finest, folks. They do a cemetery tour where Willy films the tour guide speaking for 20 minutes straight. Every. Single. Second. This is the riveting Mardi Gras content you were promised. Dawn had to sneak a quick touch of Nicolas Cage's tomb because of course she did. Willy's lurking in bar entrances filming random people to avoid cover charges, recording women in formal wear getting into limos for no reason, and generally pointing his camera at strangers without their knowledge. He films street musicians but won't tip them - they'll just get free exposure on his channel instead. We get Willy walking Bourbon Street filming himself discussing his sausage and its flavor - making sure everyone knows he's a famous YouTuber. Dawn gets bewitched by a little blue pickup truck. Don't tempt her - she'll whip out her big girl money and buy it cash outright like she did "Little Yeller" and "Orange Pumpkin." Willy seems very interested in voodoo.
