Alaska Cruise Vlog - Day 4 Ketchikan Bears

Hi Cruisers, It's day 4, and our first port day on this awesome Alaska cruise. A really big thank you goes out to Spirit of Alaska Tours for their help with the planning of this excursion. We planned to go zip lining at Herring Cove, but as you'll see in the video, things did not go as planned. After zip lining we planned a bear watching tour. The bear watching was phenomenal! We all enjoyed this bear watching excursion. Ketchikan is definitely bear country. Our visit to the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary included more that just bear watching. There is a really cool workshop where you can see totem poles being carved. There is also a Raptor center where they rescue animals like bald eagles, hawks, and owls. There is also a nice shop for souvenirs and hot chocolate. After our terrific excursion we drop by Annabelle's, one of Ketchikan's famed restaurants. Annabelle's famous Keg & Chowder House was recommended by our van driver as a great place to eat. You'll get a peek and some of the food we got at Annabelle's in this video. After our lunch we are back on the Grand Princess for sail away, and my son and I grabbed the absolute best spot in the house. It was a terrific day for us.
