I will tell you, I was never a big history fan, but this stuff is extremely interesting, and it just really puts, I think, the world into perspective, especially for me, cuz this is our first overseas trip for myself.
Now, if this is your first time in Athens, I highly recommend that you uh stop here and see this. It was a great experience and I think everybody should at least see it once in their life as well as going to um the Arch of Hadrien and seeing the Zeus Temple.
It was really hot out so we went and grabbed dinner after this and went back to the hotel room to relax because we flew at night and we've been up for a very long time.

This is our first time to Greece and we started with Athens, since that’s where we are porting for our cruise! Day 1 we landed and headed straight to our hotel which was only a few minutes walk from the Acropolis. We explored our area and hit up some must do things: Visit the Arch of Hadrian and Temple of the Olympian Zeus Walked over to Zappeion Hall which leads to the National Gardens Watched the Changing of the Guards at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. All of these are great activities for the first day and extremely close to one another. When travel to Greece Internationally we’d recommend not packing your arrival day too much so you have time to adjust to the time difference. Having things that aren’t time sensitive is best, just in case your flights are delayed and can’t make them. What are some of your must do’s when in Athens?
