Bequia really delivered that paradise tropical island experience we wanted from a Caribbean cruise. Its a tender point and the tender drops you in Port Elizabeth. Most visitors will take the pretty walkway to Princess Margaret Beach. This is a glorious beach but does get busy. The town of Port Elizabeth is fun to explore with its many bars and cafes. There is also a pleasant walk up to Fort Hamilton which provides spectacular views across the bay. Our day in the paradise place was topped off with an excursion sailing to more remote spots on the island aboard the Schooner Scaramouche. This was great fun and we were taken to remote spots for some snorkelling and swimming.
