About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Description↓
We explored two incredible ports on the Big Island of Hawaii—Hilo and Kona—as part of our Holland America Line 24-Day Mexican Riviera & Circle Hawaii Cruise, the perfect way for Wisconsinites to escape winter. In Hilo, we visited Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, where we saw steam rising from Mount Kīlauea and explored the dramatic steam vents near the crater. We also stopped at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory, where tasting quickly turned into “research” and shopping. In Kona, we took a glass-bottom boat tour for a relaxing look at Hawaiʻi’s underwater world, wandered through downtown Kona, and stumbled upon a lively street and art fair. We wrapped up the day with lunch and beers at Kona Brewing Company—and even recreated a photo from our 2018 trip. From volcanoes to ocean views, local culture, and island flavors, the Big Island delivered an unforgettable adventure aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam. 👉 Join our Rob Mob Group on Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/groups/226708843531001
