All of the cruise ships currently sailing in US waters have opted into the new CDC Cruise Ship Program. As a result, Princess, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean have all announced that beginning March 1, 2022, masks will not be required for vaccinated guests (except for in certain venues or events). Carnival has also announced that passengers who are vaccinated and are up to date with receiving boosters they are eligible for can do their COVID test for embarkation within 3 days rather than 2 days. I am looking forward to more updates from other cruise lines regarding testing and other protocols as we move forward.
