There is a regular route along the Norwegian Coast that is sold as a cruise, taking up to 16 days to complete the whole trip and back. You can book it as a ferry, but it's quite tricky as the Hurtigruten website steers you firmly towards the cruises. as part of our Southern Norway circular route, we took ferries between Stavanger and Bergen, and this one from Bergen to Ålesund. The whole visible journey is included at hyperlapse, with the ship and the views in split screen join us as we experience the cruise that (for us) was not a cruise, but still felt like one! 2 years ago, we did the 10 hour bus journey from Bergen to Ålesund which was brilliant. This year we tried something different, but still did our onward journey by bus from Ålesund to Trondheim, to complete our E39 route from end to end in Norway. After this we took a night train to Oslo, then a bus from Oslo to Kristiansand, finishing on another ferry to Stavanger. All these trips and more are or will be YouTube videos over then next weeks, along with the hop-on-hop-off buses in Ålesund and Oslo. The shipping line used for this trip is Hurtigruten (https://www.hurtigruten.com/) Filmed September 5th 2025 Equipment used: GoPro Hero 8, Osmo Pocket 3, Panasonic HC-VXF1 Editing software: Davinci Resolve, Gimp, GPX Animator Music: Epidemic Sounds and Suno Music Tracks: Hey - Ennio Mano Whispers of the Fjords - Suno 00:00 Previews and Map 00:30 Bergen 02:50 Ship Tour 04:51 Florø 06:45 Måløy 08:31 Flåvær Lighthouse 09:48 Torvik 10:20 Ålesund 11:48 Disembark & Flight
