Carnival Mardi Gras Palm Restaurant quick review of a few dishes and tips on booking dining options.

The Palm and Flamingo are two of the main dining rooms on the Carnival Mardi Gras & Celebration. You can have assigned seating which is usually early dining 5:30 or late dining 8:30. Or you can have anytime dining. The key differences between the two types of preferences is that when you have assigned dining you have the same table & wait staff every night and you do not have to book a table on the HUB app. Your table is assigned to you. Just show up at your assigned time. However, if you have an assigned seating early or late you can not book any of the other free restaurants on these types of ships until your assigned seating time is over. If you choose anytime dining at the time of your booking it allows you to book any free restaurant including the main dining rooms on the HUB app anytime you want subject to wait times. The HUB app will tell you the estimated wait time for seating. The app will also alert you when your table is ready. On these Excellence Class Ships I would highly recommend using the app and booking anytime dining. If we were on a smaller ship with less free dining options we would definetely pick a set dining time, usually early 5:30. The anytime dining doesn’t really make sense for us on the smaller ships that have limited free dining options. We hope this was helpful. Thanks for coming along our Journey.
