The day we have been waiting for is here! Our port day in Castaway Cay... the reason we chose this itinerary on the Disney Wonder. And it's raining... First thing in the morning the captain makes an announcement about the weather and that there may be disappointments for the day. We take this to mean that we will be spending the day in port in the rain... But that is not what he meant... It is actually the wind that is the problem, specifically the wind and the direction it is blowing towards the island. We make our first attempt in, and it failed. We wait patiently for the second attempt a couple of hours later. Everyone gathers behind Cabanas on the back of the ship to watch as we inch between the buoys closer to the island...
