COSTA TOSCANA Floating out - Costa's new cruise liner on Meyer Turku shipyard _______ [#e96]

On January 15th, the COSTA TOSCANA was floated out on the Meyer Turku yard in Finland. This marks a milestone in the construction of the second LNG-powered cruise ship for Costa Cruises. After the COSTA SMERLADA, the COSTA TOSCANA (IMO 9781891) is the second Helios class ship for Costa Cruises and the sixth ship of this class for the Carnival Group. The ships of the Helios class are built alternately by Meyer in Papenburg and Meyer Turku. The COSTA TOSCANA is 337 meters long and 42 meters wide. She will be measured with a gross tonnage of 185,000. Upto 6,730 passengers will find space in 2,663 passenger cabins. 62.2% of the cabins are balcony cabins. The COSTA TOSCANA should originally be delivered by the end of 2021, but it will probably not be taken over by Costa until 2022.
