On Saturday the 14th July 2018 which was a beautiful day for departing cruise ships saw the departures of Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship the 'Independence of The Seas', P&O Cruises Ship the 'Azura' & Regent Seven Seas Ship the 'Seven Seas Navigator' which has made her very first call into Southampton & therefore a very rare visitor. These ships sailed in the following order:- First to depart although rather later than planned for was the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship 'Independence of The Seas' from the City Cruise Terminal at about 17:20pm she usually sails at 16:30pm but had to wait a while for a bulk carrier ship the 'Global Brave' to pass by before she could eventually sail. This current cruise is a 15 day Cruise to the Mediterranean and she is due to to arrive back into Southampton on the 28th July. Her first port of call on this current cruise is Gibraltar. The 2nd ship to sail was the P&O Cruises Ship the 'Azura' from the Ocean Cruise Terminal just after 18:00pm. This current cruise is an 8 day Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords and her first port of call is Stavanger in Norway, she is due to arrive back into Southampton on the 21st July. Last of the three cruise ships to sail was the Regent Seven Seas Cruise Ship the 'Seven Seas Navigator' from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at just shortly after 18:30pm she was due to sail at 18:00pm this is a very rare one off visit into Southampton of 'Seven Seas Navigator'. She arrived into Southampton as part of a 90 day Round-trip Cruise from New York Cape Liberty, she sailed from there on the 21st June & on her cruise itinerary she is calling into ports in Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Ports in the UK, such as Leith Scotland, Newcastle, Southampton, Isle of Portland, Ports in Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Denmark, Norway, France, Spain, Portugal, The Azores and finally back into New York Cape Liberty on the 18th September.
