Cruise Ships passing in Southampton Water - 13/08/2023

A very rare sight was seen on Southampton Water in the early evening of Sunday 13th August 2023 when three Cruise Ships sailed past each other. Heading in from Dover after completing her previous cruise was Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' "Bolette" heading for the Horizon Cruise Terminal to pick up her next load of passengers with a departure time of 23:00 this evening. On the way in she past Royal Caribbean International's "Anthem of the Seas" & CUNARD's "Queen Victoria" which had departed from the City and Mayflower Cruise Terminals respectively and were heading off on their own cruises. Preceding this rare sight was the passing by of the Steamship "Shieldhall" which was heading back to Southampton following a cruise to Portsmouth. Viewed from Calshot Spit.
