2015 is the 175th Anniversary of CUNARD and a number of events are taking place during May to celebrate the anniversary. The first of these was a meeting of the three current vessels in the fleet - "Queen Mary 2", "Queen Victoria" & "Queen Elizabeth" in Southampton on Sunday 3rd May. Another meeting will take place in Liverpool on Monday 25th May. Other events will take place in Cobh, Ireland when "Queen Victoria" visits on May 7th for the 100th Anniversary of the "Lusitania" Sinking and then on May 20th in Greenock, Glasgow when "Queen Mary 2" visits. Also in Southampton on May 3rd were Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' "Balmoral" and Royal Caribbean International's brand-new "Anthem of the Seas". The ships departed in the following order... - "Anthem of the Seas" from the 'City' Terminal at 16:29 on a 3-night Cruise to Zeebrugge and Le Havre. - "Balmoral" from Berth 102 at 16:51 on a 8-night Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. - "Queen Victoria" from the 'Mayflower' Terminal at 17:16 on a 7-night Cruise commemorating the "Lusitania" Sinking. - "Queen Elizabeth" from the 'QEII' Terminal at 17:30 on a 2-night Cruise to Hamburg. - "Queen Mary 2" from the 'Ocean' Terminal at 17:45 on a 7-night Transatlantic Crossing to New York.
