Creator's Key Takeaways

That is honestly one of my favorite things about the Disney cruises is that they are playing Disney music absolutely everywhere on the ship.

The poached eggs I had were cooked perfectly. It was just really flavorful and fresh.

That was so good. Five-star plus if I ever did see it.

After an early morning emergency alarm on the ship, we head up to Marceline Market for a late breakfast before exploring more of the upper decks including the adults only area at the back of the ship, Quiet Cove, the infinity pools and Cove Café. During the morning we attend the Royal Gathering in the Grand Hall where guests can meet several Disney Princesses including Tiana, Belle, Rapunzel and Moana. I also share a helpful tip for meeting Disney characters if you are unsure what to say during your interaction. Later we head to the top decks to hear the Disney Destiny ship horns and play along trying to guess the different melodies used on this new ship. Afterwards we explore the onboard shops including Mickey’s Mainsail where we look through the Disney Destiny merchandise, Loungefly backpacks, Spirit Jerseys, ship models, inaugural sailings souvenirs and exclusive cruise items only available onboard. We also stop by the Disney Vacation Club desk where guests can learn more about Disney’s ownership programme and view models of Disney Vacation Club villas. For lunch we visit one of the rotational dining restaurants which is open for table service lunch on sea days. Later in the afternoon I attend the Imagineering the Ships tour where a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member shares fun facts and design details about the Disney Destiny including hidden details, artwork and stories behind how the ship was created. We attend one of the ship’s entertainment offerings before dinner at Worlds of Marvel, where the dining experience includes interactive moments on screen while guests enjoy their meal. Afterwards we visit the Grand Hall for the ship’s nightly “Kiss Goodnight” moment before wrapping up the first full day of the cruise. The following morning the Disney Destiny arrives in Nassau, Bahamas. We begin the day with breakfast at 1923 before discussing how the Disney Destiny compares with the other Wish class ships including the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Later we attend Disney Parks trivia, explore the Haunted Mansion Parlor lounge and experience the Dr. Facilier themed magical experience inside the lounge. We also relax in the stateroom, watch movies, get room service, and explore more areas of the ship while docked in Nassau. In the evening we head to Pride Lands for dinner, the Lion King themed rotational dining restaurant on the Disney Destiny. The restaurant features a live musical performance inspired by The Lion King with powerful vocals, storytelling and a high energy stage show while guests dine. Subscribe and turn on 🔔 notifications so you don’t miss the next episode where we visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in Eleuthera, Disney Cruise Line’s newest island destination.
