Disney Wish Night 1 | Boarding Day, Hyperspace Lounge & Our Anniversary Cruise Begins!

UsbWe’re officially sailing on the Disney Wish for four nights to celebrate 20 years of marriage — and this is Night One. After boarding, we head straight to Marceline Market to dive into the wide variety of food options. Scott compares it to Cabanas on the Disney Fantasy, sharing why he actually prefers this layout and atmosphere. Of course, dessert sampling is mandatory. Next stop: stateroom 8668 — our Navigator’s Verandah. We give a quick room tour and explain why this category is perfect for the two of us on an anniversary sailing. With unpacking done, it’s time for our first adult drinks of the cruise inside the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge. From smoky presentation effects to a Stormtrooper ice cube, the experience is as immersive as it is delicious. During the open house, we step inside “it’s a small world” nursery and the Oceaneer Club — two spaces our kids absolutely loved on our last family cruise. Room by room, we show why this area is pure magic for kids ages 3–10. Dinner takes us to 1923, where we admire the artwork, enjoy course after course, and Kristen may have just found her all-time favorite dessert from any Disney property. As the ship gently rocks and the excitement of day one settles in, we head back to our room to call it a night — officially kicking off this anniversary adventure. Until tomorrow.
