Creator's Key Takeaways

I'm okay with a DoubleTree, usually they're fine. This one, yikes, it's not great.

The pictures are really nice online, and then you come inside and oh, it quickly fell apart starting at check-in

This is the view. It's literally a view of the parking lot. So, everyone can see into our room.

This is honestly probably the most disappointing DoubleTree hotel I've stayed in in a long time.

Creator's Tips & Advice

βœ“Shop elsewhere if staying in the Forest Lawn area of St. Louis.
βœ“Use your Hilton Diamond credit for breakfast, but be aware of limited options.
βœ“Consider going to Applebee's for cheap drinks if the hotel lacks a bar.

Please subscribe to @nowgoseeit This is our honest review and room tour of the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Louis Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. On paper, this hotel looked like a perfectly fine Hilton stay. The online photos looked good, the room was spacious, the location was useful, and DoubleTree hotels are usually a safe middle-of-the-road choice. But after two nights at this property, this stay went downhill fast. In this video, Elliott walks through the king suite, the room layout, the outlets, the sofa bed, the parking lot view, the bathroom, and the parts of the hotel experience that didn’t work. And there were plenty. We’re talking no DoubleTree cookies at check-in, no housekeeping after two full days, a disconnected phone left in the room, visible dust, a leaking shower, bathroom grime, ceiling damage, breakfast buffet problems, no coffee at breakfast, and a marketplace that somehow made the situation feel worse. The hotel does have a few positives. The room itself is spacious, there are plenty of outlets, the location near Forest Park can work well if you need to be in this part of St. Louis, and there are bars and restaurants within a reasonable distance. Parking was $15 per day during our visit, so factor that into the real cost of staying here. But overall? This was one of the most disappointing DoubleTree stays we’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for a St. Louis hotel near Forest Park, this review should help you decide whether the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Louis Forest Park is the right choice for your trip, or whether you should keep shopping.
