Creator's Key Takeaways

I recommend getting the hotel here cuz it's pretty easy to just wheel your luggage down to that crazy tram ride and then get on and then get off and then go to your room

I'm loving I think we both are loving this this window it's actually a very big seating area or you can put stuff in there it's nice cuz you can be benefiting from the views without being in the weather

Carnival has stepped their game up I will say that

the Seas have pretty much calmed as far as I'm concerned

Join me for Embarkation Day and Day 1 at Sea aboard Carnival Cruise Line's flagship, the Carnival Jubilee! Our journey starts with a smooth flight from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on Spirit Airlines. This was my second time flying Spirit, and they delivered the best fare and most direct route for us! After landing at IAH, we took a quick five-minute underground tram ride to our hotel, the Marriott at Houston Airport, for the night. The next morning, we took a $77 Uber ride (1 hour 25 minutes) to the port and experienced a somewhat chaotic embarkation, but we made it onboard the Carnival Jubilee after about 40 minutes. Once onboard, we got settled into our ocean view stateroom and relaxed. The weather was hot, and the seas started getting rough as we began our adventure. I even met one of my followers, Joel, who kindly brought me a shot of tequila to celebrate! Our dinner that evening in the Pacific Dining Room was enjoyable, with the servers putting on a lively show. The dining room lights up with changing colors, adding to the fun atmosphere. While I forgot to film dinner, I did manage to capture the dessert! The first production show, SoulBound, wasn’t really my thing, so we left early and called it a night as the seas continued to get rough. Day 1 at Sea started with a search for coffee, followed by a relaxing breakfast in our stateroom, enjoying the ocean view through our large window. I had a moment with our small bathroom (it’s tight, and I had to turn sideways to fit through the shower door!), but everything was clean and functional. The weather was rough, but it improved throughout the day. We spent most of the day resting and eating, with a fantastic dinner back in the Pacific Dining Room. I even tried two entrees, and I must say, Carnival has really stepped up their MDR gameβ€”the food was spectacular! It was also Elegant Night, the first of two on this cruise, and I discovered my new favorite shot, the Scooby Shot! We ended the day watching the ocean swells from our stateroom window on the Carnival Jubilee.
