Join me onboard Grand Princess for a full room tour of a wheelchair accessible balcony cabin. We’ll take a look at the additional floor space in the room, the bedding and storage, as well as the bathroom. The room is a contemporary space, a more recent addition to the Grand Princess and a lot more modern than the original staterooms onboard the ship. The bathroom is accessed via a sliding door. Like the rest of the room, it’s a contemporary space with marble-look tiles and importantly, an expansive floor plan. The vanity has space underneath for users of wheelchairs to better access the sink. The roll in shower is wide and has grab bars and a fold down bench seat, plus a lower level clothes line. Lotion, hand wash, shampoo and body wash are all provided for use. The balcony is spacious without being overly large, and there’s a ramp to aid in access over the sliding door mechanism/threshold.
