Grandeur of the Seas: Timelapse Departures and Arrivals

The Grandeur of the Seas departed Baltimore Maryland at 4:30PM on Saturday January 11th, 2014 to start a 10 night Western Caribbean cruise under very cold, rainy, foggy, and icy conditions. Her original 4:00PM departure time was delayed due to a medical emergency that needed to be taken off the ship. After departing she made a quick turn around before heading toward the Chesapeake Bay. Roughly 40 minutes into the sailing she passed under the Francis Scott Key Bridge, about an hour and a half later she passed under the pair of suspension bridges that make up the William Preston Jr. Memorial Bridge (too dark for video). The departure from Baltimore takes over 10 hours in all, passing under 3 bridges. Our arrival to Cozumel on the 15th was at 6am local time. We then were joined by the AIDAbella, MSC Divina, Carnival Conquest, and Carnival Ecstasy before departing at 4pm under rough sea conditions. Our arrival the next day in Grand Cayman was rescheduled. Due to rough conditions Georgetown closed so we were moved to Spotts Bay where we arrived at 10:30am just after the Carnival Liberty and Norwegian Pearl. We departed at 6:00pm. Conditions improved as we arrived in Royal Caribbean's new port of Falmouth Jamaica under very damp conditions on the 17th at 7:00am. We then departed at 4:00pm in the afternoon. Our final stop was at Royal Caribbean's private peninsula Labadee Haiti on the 18th. We arrived at 9:30am with the Explorer of the Seas already there. She then departed at 4:00pm with use departing an hour later at 5:00pm. The timelapse was filmed with a GoPro HD Hero3 Silver taking a picture every other second. In the video each second is equal to a minute and each minute is an hour. The camera was mounted on the window of cabin 3632 on deck 3 near the aft of the ship using a suction cup mount.
