It’s surprisingly easy to book a resort that’s nearly sold out and take advantage of no one using any of the common areas, such as the pools or beach. Same goes for cruises - and imagine not having to fight for a lounger by the pool?! All you need to do is find out which resorts or cruises are hosting big events such as Seminars, Corporate Retreats, or Travel Industry Events like the annual awards for top sales achievements with certain brands (Sandals, Playa Resorts, etc). Since all of the people attending these conferences will be busy during the day with meetings, training sessions, team building or private excursions, you’ll have the resort or cruise largely to yourself (kind of like hanging back from going into port during a cruise). I’ve compiled a list of events that have already been announced for 2025, but you can also speak to your travel agent to find out more about the Travel Industry Events (especially agents that deal specifically with groups).
