I Didn't Expect This Conversation Onboard Discovery Princess

Welcome to my first video of 2026, and happy new year. I’ve just returned from a 12-night family cruise to the South Pacific and Fiji onboard Discovery Princess - a trip that was busy, memorable, and full of great conversations. One conversation in particular stuck with me. While onboard, I was challenged by a fellow passenger about why I sometimes share negative cruise experiences publicly, and whether that’s fair or responsible. In this video, I talk through that interaction, why I believe honesty matters in cruise reviews, and the responsibility creators have when people genuinely use our content to make travel decisions. This wasn’t a bad cruise - far from it. Every cruise has its own personality, and overall this was a wonderful family trip. But it did make me reflect on what it means to tell the full story, not just the glossy highlights. Thanks for following along so far.
