Icon of the Seas: Cozumel Mexico Arrival & Departure on May 15th, 2024 (with Mariner and more)

On May 11th the Icon of the Seas set sail on a 7 night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day in CocoCay sailing. Sailing round trip from Miami she made stops in Roatán Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico as well as the addition of CocoCay in the Bahamas. The morning of May 15th was an exceptionally humid one, even for these sailings. The Icon of the Seas was the first ship to make her way to Cozumel just as the darkness was starting to giveaway to the sun. Shortly after docking the Carnival Valor arrived, docking at the adjacent port, which was just a few hundred feet from the Icon of the Seas. Arriving to Cozumel a day after missing Costa Maya due to the sea conditions on the pier, at noon two unscheduled ships showed up on the horizon after turning around on their way to their own Costa Maya visits that couldn't be made. The Mariner of the Seas arrived sailing around the Icon of the Seas to dock across the pier from her while the Carnival Jubilee docked across from the Carnival Valor at the other port. In the afternoon the Carnival Valor was the first ship to depart. A short time later the Icon of the Seas then set sail following a horn battle with the Mariner of the Seas. Once far off to sea the Mariner of the Seas and Carnival Valor then each departed to kill some time overnight before returning to Cozumel the next morning for their scheduled visits.
