On day 4 of our cruise on the Majestic Princess Cruise to Alaska, we visited Icy Strait Point, which is located in Hoonah, Alaska. We were SO impressed with this port! The fact that we got to go here on the 4th of July made it even more special. You will see lots of Independence Day decorations throughout the video. In this video, we take you along as we ride the gondola to the top of the mountain to see one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen! We were even able to see Glacier Bay, and of course our beautiful ship. Then we explore Icy Strait Point and see all it has to offer- restaurants, zip-lining, shopping, a cultural heritage center (Alaska Tlingit dance), a salmon cannery tour, and also a beach! We only wish we would have had more time to explore even more, and take one of the other many excursions offered, such as whale watching or kayaking. We did take the time to ride the transfer bus into Hoonah to see the Tlingit village, and even some totem pole making! So much history, and so much beauty all around. Back on the ship later, we enjoy a laid back evening eating pizza at Alfredo's Pizza, and even try desserts there... yum! Then we partake in Good Spirits at Sea, which is offered at the Good Spirits bar throughout the week. We try some really exotic drinks, and enjoy watching them be made, and all of the information on where the drinks come from. So fun! Before turning in, we even go to a show in theatre... such beautiful singing, and what talent! This was an amazing 4th of July... and what a great way to spend it!
