Check out these Pacific Sea Nettles at the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto Ontario. The displays at this world-class aquarium are phenomenal and a definite "must-see" when visiting Toronto. The Ripley's Aquarium was part of our City Pass that we purchased in Toronto. Skipping the lines and heading straight in is such a luxury! Take a minute, literally, and watch these beautiful creatures. A little about the Pacific Sea Nettle: The Pacific Sea Nettle, also known as Chrysaora Fuscescens, or West Coast Sea Nettle, is a common jellyfish that lives in the eastern Pacific Ocean from Mexico to Canada. Sea nettles have a golden-brown bell with a bit of a reddish tint. The bell can grow to be huge, sometimes larger than 36" in diameter in the wild, though most are less than 20 inches across. The long, spiraling, arms and tentacles may trail behind as far as 15 feet. If it stings you, it's most often just irritating, but rarely dangerous. Thanks for watching!
