Med Cruise P2 - Visiting the Old Fortress of Corfu, Greece & walking tour of Taormina in Sicily.

Our second day aboard the Sun Princess cruising the Mediterranean for 14 days. In this video we visited Corfu Greece walking from the ship port through Corfu to the Old Fortress. We only saw a third of everything at the Fortress but it was amazing with beautiful views of the ocean and city. Cruises are an amazing way to get an idea of how an area is but unfortunately you don't get amount of time needed to fully explore. Not to mention it was 90 degrees with 60-70% humidity. The Sun Princess has a different style of theater that a lot of newer cruise ships are going to. The stage is in the center of the room and you sit around it. The show I posted in this video was different but the performers were all very talented with amazing voices. I showcase shows like this for everyone to see what some of the entertainment is like on cruises. This is only the stage performance but as you see in our previous videos, they have a little bit of everything. Stage performances (Musicals) are not for everybody but I respect the talent involved in performing these shows. This performance displayed what it is like to be a performer from auditions to the final curtain call of a show. The last portion of this video is the walking tour we did of Taormina in Sicily ending at the theater. It's about an hour bus ride through the mountains of Sicily and the town has a long history of occupation but as it was explained to us, it was once a resort area for the Roman Empire.
