1/21/26. Day 2 of my cruise on the Carnival Glory was Nassau Bahamas. Nassau is the capital city on the Island of New Providence. Multiple cruise ships dock here each day. Nassau has a bustling waterfront area with shops & restaurants. However, please keep in mind as of March 2025, The Bahama's are under a level 2 travel advisory according to the U.S. Department of State. Travelers must exercise caution due to violent crimes. Stay in the tourist area & remain aware of your surroundings at all times. We visited Junkanoo Beach, which is public. Watch your belongings at all times & swim at your own risk. Beach chairs are an additional fee. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO OVER THE HILL. That area is a hot bed for violent crime. DO NOT book excursions through private watersport companies, even if they appear legit. If you remain vigilant & keep aware, it is an interesting country to visit.
