"Oceana", "Saga Ruby", "Balmoral", "Azura" & "Ventura" in The Solent - 27/04/2013

Saga Cruises' "Saga Ruby" returned to the UK on Saturday 27th April 2013 following her revised Grand Voyage that began from Southampton on February 20th after her crankshaft repairs. Unusually the voyage ended at Portsmouth rather than Southampton and was where her next cruise began from. In addition to "Saga Ruby" in Portsmouth, there were four other cruise ships in Southampton with P&O Cruises' "Oceana, "Azura" & "Ventura" being joined by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' "Balmoral" who had also returned following her own World Cruise which had begun on January 5th. In this video, we are on the seafront at Southsea where we see all five cruise ships plus the Brittany Ferries "Bretagne" sailing between the mainland and the Isle of Wight. The first ship to appear was "Oceana" (having departed Southampton at 16:32) on her way to Lisbon. Next was "Saga Ruby" (having departed Portsmouth at around 17:00) on her way to Funchal, Madeira. Then came "Balmoral" (having departed Southampton at 16:43) on her way to the Azores. At the same time, Brittany Ferries' "Bretagne" approached Portsmouth from St. Malo. After that is was "Azura" who came by (having departed Southampton at 17:09) on her way to La Corunna. Last of all "Ventura" (having departed Southampton at 17:13) on her way to Stavanger.
