http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com We took the funicular with Olga, Odessawalks.com up to the top of Potemkin steps and began in front of the Duc de Richelieu Monument. He was Odessa's first governor in 1803 and his was also the first monument erected. Olga happened to have a local joke about the Duc. From there, we continued along the same route toured with Viking guides but with personalized and detailed information at each spot.
