On most Royal Caribbean sailings the cruise director will host a Captain's Corner Q&A session featuring high ranking members of the staff. These sessions are often more interesting and sometimes heated when dealing with new ships. On the Quantum of the Seas's second sailing sailing it took place on the second to last day, December 10th, 2014. The officers present were: Cruise Director: Jimmy Rhodes Captain: Srecko Ban Hotel Director: Darren Budden Chief Engineer: Stig Eriksen Environmental Officer: Ernst Andersen The questions asked by passengers were: * Introductions (02:15) 1) Is Dynamic Dining going to spread throughout the fleet? (9:10) 2) How are you measuring the swells? (11:40) 3a) I don’t like Dynamic Dining and my room creaks loudly so I can’t sleep. (12:25) 4) Only having 4 menus on an 11 days cruise is boring. (15:10) 4b) My cabin is noisy and guest services isn’t doing anything. (15:45) 5) Captain, I’ve never seen you look so tired. What are you doing on vacation? (17:00) 6) The sound in the virtual balconies no longer appears to be working. (19:05) 7) Does the air lubrication system have any impact on the way the ship handles? (21:35) 8) We enjoyed Dynamic Dining and this ship. (23:55) 9) The category description did not match the cabin I was originally given. (24:15) 10) How many gallons of fuel does this ship carry? (26:25) 11) When is Dynamic Dining going to start on the Oasis and will it have the same menus? (27:55) 12) The toilets flushing are very loud and keep waking me up. (28:30) 13) What do you do with all the wasted from the ship? (30:05) 14) It would be nice if Dynamic Dinning would have some daily specials. (32:00) 14b) The shore side agents have very little information on what an obstructed balcony is. (33:13) 15) It’s nice to see the incredible entertainment offered onboard rather than the same old shows. (35:35) 16) None of the information onboard is being offered in German. (39:30) 16b) Dynamic Dinning does not offer a very welcoming experience. (40:05) 17) In a storm how much roll can this ship handle? (41:00) 18) Have you ever wondered if the stabilization system is not working the way it should be? (43:55) 19) Who steers and docks the ship, why do you need the pilot? (44:53) 20) The Diamond Lounge is too small and people stay there all day. (47:40) 21) When will we see the giraffes again? (49:25) 22) There are many nights where there is no evening entertainment and it would be nice if there were more small offerings available. (49:55) 23) Having only one waiter seems to be an issue. (51:03) 24) What happens when we arrive at a port of call for the first time? (52:10)
