Queen Mary 2 departs loud horns from City Cruise Terminal Southampton 8th August 2013.

This afternoon saw the departure of Cunard's Queen Mary 2 from the City Cruise Terminal at 16:43pm outbound for New York. She had arrived earlier in the morning from Zeebrugge along with Ventura which arrived earlier in the morning from Lanzarote and left Southampton again at 16:42pm bound for Lisbon. It is not very often that Queen Mary 2 uses the City Cruise Terminal as I have only known her to use it twice but it has been noted from other sources that she has used this berth at least 6 times now. Before she left she blew her horn with 7 short blasts and one long blast then when she got further away from the quay side she then blew again 3 times before sailing away down the Southampton water on her journey to New York.
