"Queen Victoria" & "Queen Mary 2" depart from Southampton - 22/05/2012

Following their visit together on May Tuesday 10th 2011, 'Cunard's RMS "Queen Mary 2" and "Queen Victoria" were in Southampton Docks on Tuesday 22nd May 2012. Last year, "Queen Mary 2" was moored Starboard-side to in the 'Ocean' Terminal and was the first to depart followed shortly later by "Queen Victoria" who was Port-side-to in the 'Mayflower' Terminal. This year, with the weather vitually identical to last year, an almost complete reverse was seen. This time, "Queen Mary 2" was docked Port-side-to in the 'Ocean' Terminal with "Queen Victoria" moored Starboard-side-to in the 'Mayflower'. "Queen Victoria" was the first to depart and after turning round, headed back down past the Town Quay where she and "Queen Mary 2" saluted one another. Finally, "Queen Mary 2" reveresed out of the 'Ocean' Terminal and turned before pausing whilst a change of lifeboats was undertaken. The ship then sailed off down the Test afterwards.
